Educational Q&A

Righteous action (karma) performed with patience and sustained effort earns the approval of elders and supports dharma; virtue is shown not only in the deed but in steadfast perseverance.

Bhīṣma continues a dharma-illustration, stating that the sage Gautama became pleased with his son because of the son’s deed and the long, persevering manner in which it was carried out.
