अध्यात्म-तत्त्व-निर्णयः

तपसा ब्रह्मचर्येण सर्वत्यागेन मेधया । सांख्ये वा यदि वा योग एतत्‌ पृष्ठो वदस्व मे,सांख्य एवं योगमें तप, ब्रह्मचर्य, सर्वस्वका त्याग और मेधाशक्ति--इनमेंसे किस साधनके द्वारा तत्त्वका साक्षात्कार माना गया है? यह आपसे मेरा प्रश्न है, आप मुझे कृपापूर्वक इस विषयका उपदेश दीजिये

tapasā brahmacaryeṇa sarvatyāgena medhayā | sāṅkhye vā yadi vā yoga etat pṛṣṭo vadasva me ||

شُک نے کہا— تپسیا، برہماچریہ، کامل ترکِ تعلّق اور قوتِ تمییز—خواہ سانکھیا ہو یا یوگ—ان میں سے کس وسیلے سے حقیقت کا براہِ راست ادراک حاصل ہوتا ہے؟ میں یہی پوچھتا ہوں؛ مہربانی فرما کر اس باب میں مجھے تعلیم دیجیے۔
