यावानात्मनि वेदात्मा तावानात्मा परात्मनि । य एवं सततं वेद सो<मृतत्त्वाय कल्पते,अपने शरीरके भीतर जैसा ज्ञानस्वरूप आत्मा है वैसा ही दूसरोंके शरीरमें भी है, जिस पुरुषको निरन्तर ऐसा ज्ञान बना रहता है, वह अमृतत्त्वको प्राप्त होनेमें समर्थ है

yāvān ātmani vedātmā tāvān ātmā parātmani | ya evaṃ satataṃ veda so 'mṛtatvāya kalpate ||

جیسے اپنے جسم کے اندر علم کی صورت والا آتما ہے، ویسا ہی آتما دوسروں کے جسموں میں بھی ہے۔ جس شخص میں یہ فہم مسلسل قائم رہے، وہ اَمرتَتْو (لازوالیت) پانے کے لائق ہو جاتا ہے۔
