भिक्षुलक्षणम्—एकचर्याः, अहिंसा, कैवल्याश्रमः

व्यास उवाच यस्तु पश्यन्‌ स्वभावेन विनाभावमचेतन: । पुष्यते च पुनः सर्वान्‌ प्रज्ञया मुक्तहेतुकान्‌,व्यासजीने कहा--जो यह समझता है कि यह जगत्‌ स्वभावसे ही उत्पन्न है, इसका कोई चेतन मूल कारण नहीं है, वह अज्ञानी मनुष्य व्यर्थ तर्कयुक्त बुद्धिद्वारा हेतुरहित वचनोंका बारंबार पोषण करता रहता है

vyāsa uvāca | yas tu paśyan svabhāvena vinābhāvam acetanaḥ | puṣyate ca punaḥ sarvān prajñayā mukta-hetukān |

ویاس نے کہا—جو شخص دنیا کو دیکھ کر یہ نتیجہ نکالتا ہے کہ یہ محض اپنے ‘سْوَبھاو’ سے پیدا ہوئی ہے اور اس کے پیچھے کوئی شعوری اصل نہیں، وہ نادان ہے؛ وہ اپنی چالاک، مناظرانہ عقل سے بار بار بےسبب دعووں ہی کو تقویت دیتا رہتا ہے۔
