अहमेवोद्वहाम्यापो विसृजामि च वासव । तपामि चैव त्रैलोक्यं विद्योताम्पहमेव च
aham evodvahāmy āpo visṛjāmi ca vāsava | tapāmi caiva trailokyaṁ vidyotāmy aham eva ca ||
اے واسَو! پانی کو اوپر اٹھانا بھی میں ہی کرتا ہوں اور اسے پھر برسانا بھی میں ہی۔ تینوں لوکوں کو حرارت دینا بھی میں ہی، اور بجلی بن کر روشنی پھیلانا بھی میں ہی۔
श॒क्र उवाच
The verse links authority with responsibility: the one who wields power must sustain order through beneficial, regulated action—like the cosmic cycle of lifting waters, releasing rain, giving warmth, and providing light.
Śakra (Indra) speaks in self-assertion, describing his cosmic functions—evaporation, rainfall, heating the worlds, and lightning—emphasizing his role in maintaining the world’s rhythms.
