यदा च पृथिवीं सर्वा यजमानो<नुपर्यगा: । शम्याक्षेपेण विधिना तदा55सीत्‌ किं तु ते हदि

Transliteration

yadā ca pṛthivīṃ sarvāṃ yajamāno ’nuparyagāḥ | śamyākṣepena vidhinā tadā āsīt kiṃ tu te hṛdi ||

Translation

شَکر نے کہا— جب تم یجمان بن کر شَمیَا (لکڑی کی میخ) کے پھینکنے کی مقررہ رسم کے مطابق یَجْن کرتے ہوئے پوری زمین کا طواف کر آئے تھے، اُس وقت تمہارے دل میں کیا تھا؟ اُس گھڑی تمہارے اندر کتنا جوش، کتنا عزم و تپش رہی ہوگی؟
