न्यायतन्त्राण्यनेकानि तैस्तैरुक्तानि वादिभि: । हेत्वागमसदाचारैर्यदुक्ते तदुपास्यताम्‌,तर्कशील दिद्वानोंने तर्कशास्त्रके अनेक ग्रन्थोंका प्रणणयन किया। उन महर्षियोंने युक्तियुक्त शास्त्र और सदाचारके द्वारा जिस ब्रह्मका उपदेश किया है, उसीकी तुम भी उपासना करो

nyāya-tantrāṇy anekāni tais tair uktāni vādibhiḥ | hetv-āgama-sadācārair yad ukte tad upāsyatām ||

مختلف مناظروں نے استدلال و منطق کے بہت سے نظام پیش کیے ہیں؛ مگر جن مہارشیوں نے دلیل، آگم اور نیک سلوک کے ذریعے جس پرم تَتْو کا उपदेश دیا ہے—تم بھی اسی کو معبودِ مقصود جان کر اختیار کرو۔

Bhishma advises that although many logical systems and debated doctrines exist, one should adhere to and worship that highest Reality/teaching which is supported by three validators: sound reasoning (hetu), authoritative tradition (āgama), and righteous conduct (sadācāra).
