Svapna–Manas–Guṇa–Brahma-vicāra
पृथिवीमार्तरूपां ते समपश्यन् दिवौकस: । दानवैरभिसंस्तीर्णा घोररूपैर्महाबलै:,समूचे भूमण्डलमें भयानक रूपधारी महाबली दानव फैल गये थे। देवताओंने देखा, यह पृथ्वी दानवोंके पापभारसे पीड़ित एवं आर्त हो उठी है
pṛthivīm ārta-rūpāṃ te samapaśyan divaukasaḥ | dānavair abhisaṃstīrṇā ghorarūpair mahābalaiḥ ||
دیوتاؤں نے زمین کو گویا آرت حالت میں دیکھا۔ پورے بھومندل پر ہولناک صورتوں والے نہایت زورآور دانَو پھیل گئے تھے؛ اُن کے گناہوں کے بوجھ سے دبی ہوئی زمین مظلوم اور مضطرب دکھائی دی۔
