Adhyāya 199: Karma–Jñāna Causality and the Nirguṇa Brahman
Manu’s Instruction
jitā lokās tvayā sarve ye divyā ye ca mānuṣāḥ | devānāṁ nilayān sādho sarvān utkrāmya yāsyasi ||
True excellence is measured not merely by reaching heavenly rewards but by surpassing even the highest divine stations through steadfast virtue; Dharma affirms that ethical perfection can lead beyond ordinary celestial attainments.
Dharma addresses a virtuous person and declares that, through their merit, they have ‘won’ access to all human and celestial realms and will even pass beyond the gods’ abodes—an honorific proclamation of extraordinary spiritual destination.
