Adhyāya 193: Adjudication of the Comparable Fruits of Japa and Yoga
जो लोभ और मोहसे युक्त हो एक दूसरेको खा जानेके लिये उद्यत रहते हैं, वे भी इसी लोकमें आवागमन करते रहते हैं, उत्तरदिशाके उत्कृष्ट लोकमें नहीं जाने पाते हैं ।।
bharadvāja uvāca | ye lobha-mohābhyāṁ yuktā anyonyam khāditum udyatāḥ santi, te ’pi asmin loke punar-āvartante; na tu uttaradiśaḥ utkṛṣṭaṁ lokaṁ gacchanti || ye gurūn paryupāsante niyatā brahmacāriṇaḥ, manasendriyāṇi saṁyamya; panthānaṁ sarva-lokānāṁ vijānanti manīṣiṇaḥ ||
بھاردواج نے کہا—جو لوگ لالچ اور موہ میں بندھے ہوئے، ایک دوسرے کو کھا جانے پر آمادہ رہتے ہیں، وہ اسی دنیا میں آمد و رفت کے چکر میں پڑے رہتے ہیں؛ شمالی سمت کے برتر لوک تک نہیں پہنچتے۔ لیکن جو منضبط برہماچاری، من اور حواس کو قابو میں رکھ کر گروؤں کی عقیدت سے خدمت و اُپاسنا کرتے ہیں، وہی دانا مرد تمام لوکوں کے راستوں کو جان لیتے ہیں۔
