धर्मसूक्ष्मे त्यागप्रधान्यविचारः

Subtle Dharma and the Primacy of Renunciation

तपस्त्यागो5विधिरिति निश्चयस्त्वेष धीमताम्‌ । परं परं ज्याय एपषां येषां नैश्रेयसी मति:,जिन महानुभावोंकी बुद्धि परम कल्याणमें लगी हुई है, उन बुद्धिमानोंका निर्णय इस प्रकार है। तपस्या, त्याग और विधिविधानसे अतीत (त्रह्मज्ञान) इनमेंसे पूर्व-पूर्वकी अपेक्षा उत्तरोत्तर श्रेष्ठ है

tapas tyāgo ’vidhir iti niścayas tveṣa dhīmatām | paraṃ paraṃ jyāya eṣāṃ yeṣāṃ naiśreyasī matiḥ ||

یُدھِشٹھِر نے کہا—داناؤں کا طے شدہ فیصلہ یہ ہے: تپسیا، تیاگ، اور وہ حقیقت جو محض رسم و ضابطے کی پابندیوں سے ماورا ہے۔ جن کی سمجھ اعلیٰ ترین بھلائی میں قائم ہو، ان کے لیے ان میں ہر بعد والی چیز پہلی سے برتر ہے۔
