जनक-राज्ञः मौण्ड्य-परिव्रज्या-विवादः

Janaka’s Renunciation Questioned; Discourse on Dāna and Detachment

नैव ते5स्ति परो लोको नापर: पापकर्मण: । धर्म्यान्‌ दारान्‌ परित्यज्य यस्त्वमिच्छसि जीवितुम्‌

naiva te 'sti paro loko nāparaḥ pāpakarmaṇaḥ | dharmyān dārān parityajya yas tvam icchasi jīvitum ||

ارجن نے کہا—پاپ کرنے والے کے لیے نہ یہ دنیا خوشگوار ہے نہ آخرت۔ تم اپنی جائز و شرعی بیوی کو چھوڑ کر اکیلا جینا چاہتے ہو؛ اس سے تم نے ملامت کے لائق راہ اختیار کی ہے، لہٰذا نہ اس جہان میں تمہاری بھلائی ہے نہ پرلے جہان میں۔
