लुब्ध: क्रूरस्त्यक्तरर्मा निकृति: शठ एव च | क्षुद्र पापसमाचार: सर्वशड्की तथालस:
lubdhaḥ krūraḥ tyaktadharmo nikṛtiḥ śaṭha eva ca | kṣudraḥ pāpasamācāraḥ sarvaśaṅkī tathālasaḥ ||
بھیشم نے کہا—جو شخص لالچی اور سنگدل ہو، جس نے دھرم کو ترک کر دیا ہو، جو مکار اور دغاباز ہو؛ جو کم ظرف، گناہ آلود عادتوں والا، سب پر شک کرنے والا اور سست ہو—ایسے آدمی کے ساتھ کبھی عہد و پیمان نہیں باندھنا چاہیے۔ اور جو ہمیشہ دوسروں کے عیب ٹٹولتا رہے، وہ بھی صلح و معاہدے کے لائق نہیں۔ اب میں اُن لوگوں کا بیان کرتا ہوں جو اتحاد کے لائق ہیں—سنو۔
