Śānti-parva 168: Śoka-nivṛtti-buddhi (The Cognition that Reduces Grief) and Piṅgalā’s Nairāśya

तस्माद्‌ धर्मप्रधानेन भवितव्यं यतात्मना । तथा च सर्वभूतेषु वर्तितव्यं यथात्मनि

پس چاہیے کہ آدمی اپنے من کو قابو میں رکھ کر دھرم کو اپنا سب سے بڑا مقصد بنائے، اور تمام جانداروں کے ساتھ ویسا ہی برتاؤ کرے جیسا وہ اپنے لیے پسند کرتا ہے۔
