प्रगृह्मासिममेयात्मा रूपमन्यच्चकार ह । चतुर्बाहु: स्पृशन् मूर्थ्ना भूस्थितो5पि दिवाकरम्,उस समय महर्षिगण रुद्रदेवकी भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करने लगे। तब अप्रमेयस्वरूप भगवान् रुद्रने वह तलवार लेकर एक-दूसरा चतुर्भुज रूप धारण किया जो भूतलपर खड़ा होकर भी अपने मस्तकसे सूर्यदेवका स्पर्श कर रहा था
pragṛhya asim ameyātmā rūpam anyac cakāra ha | caturbāhuḥ spṛśan mūrdhnā bhūsthito 'pi divākaram ||
بھیشم نے کہا—اپنے بےپیمانہ جوہر والے بھگوان رودر نے وہ تلوار تھام کر ایک اور ہی روپ اختیار کیا۔ وہ چہار بازو ہو کر، زمین پر کھڑا رہتے ہوئے بھی، اپنے سر سے دیواکر (سورج) کو چھوتا ہوا معلوم ہوتا تھا۔
