This line is a colophon rather than a teaching verse; it frames the ethical setting by locating the discourse within Āpaddharma—guidance on how dharma is to be understood and practiced under crisis, when ordinary rules may require careful, principled adaptation.
The text is closing a chapter: it announces that the 151st chapter has concluded within the Śānti Parva’s Āpaddharma section, in the sub-narrative connected with Indrota and King Parikṣit.
