Dasyu-maryādā and Buddhi-guided Rāja-nīti (दस्युमर्यादा तथा बुद्धिप्रधान-राजनीति)
यस्तु वर्षमविज्ञाय क्षेत्र कर्षति कर्षक: । हीन: पुरुषकारेण सस्य॑ नैवाश्लुते ततः,जो किसान वर्षाके समयका विचार न करके खेत जोतता है, उसका पुरुषार्थ व्यर्थ जाता है; और उस जुताईसे उसको अनाज नहीं मिल पाता
yastu varṣam avijñāya kṣetraṃ karṣati karṣakaḥ | hīnaḥ puruṣakāreṇa sasyaṃ naivāśnute tataḥ ||
جو کسان بارش کے موسم کو سمجھے بغیر کھیت جوتتا ہے، اس کی کوشش ناقص رہ جاتی ہے؛ اور اس بےوقت محنت سے اسے اناج حاصل نہیں ہوتا۔
