Draupadī’s Exhortation on Rājadharma and Daṇḍa (द्रौपद्याः राजधर्मोपदेशः)
द्रौपहुवाच इमे ते भ्रातर: पार्थ शुष्यन्ते स््तोकका इव । वावाश्यमानास्तिष्ठन्ति न चैनानभिनन्दसे,कुन्तीकुमार! आपके ये भाई आपका संकल्प सुनकर सूख गये हैं; पपीहोंके समान आपसे राज्य करनेकी रट लगा रहे हैं; फिर भी आप इनका अभिनन्दन नहीं करते? ।।
Draupadī uvāca: ime te bhrātaraḥ Pārtha śuṣyante stokakā iva | vāvāśyamānās tiṣṭhanti na cainān abhinandase, Kuntīkumarā ||
دروپدی نے کہا—اے پارتھ! تمہارے یہ بھائی چھوٹے چھوٹے تالابوں کی طرح سوکھتے جا رہے ہیں۔ پیاسے پرندوں کی مانند فریاد کرتے ہوئے تمہارے سامنے کھڑے ہیں—تمہیں راج سنبھالنے پر اُکساتے ہیں؛ پھر بھی اے کُنتی پُتر! تم اُن کی پذیرائی نہیں کرتے؟
