Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca
sa tasya bruvatastv evaṁ saṁtrāsāj jātasādhvasaḥ
Speech and circumstance can trigger powerful inner reactions; the verse highlights how fear can arise suddenly from agitation, reminding the listener to cultivate steadiness and discernment rather than being ruled by panic.
Lomaśa describes a moment where, as someone continues speaking, another person becomes alarmed; from that fright, fear (sādhvasa) arises, marking a shift in the emotional tone of the episode.
