कालो हेतुं विकुरुते स्वार्थस्तमनुवर्तते
kālo hetuṁ vikurute svārthas tam anuvartate |
زمانہ اسباب و علل کی ہیئت تک بدل دیتا ہے، اور خودغرضی اسی بدلتے ہوئے زمانے کے ساتھ ساتھ چلتی رہتی ہے۔ دانا آدمی اس خودغرضی کو خوب پہچان لیتا ہے، اور عام لوگ داناؤں ہی کے پیچھے چلتے ہیں۔ پس جب میں اغراض و مفاد کو سمجھنے میں ماہر ہوں تو تمہیں مجھ سے اس انداز میں بات نہیں کرنی چاہیے۔
