भीष्म उवाच विज्ञानबलमास्थाय जीवितव्यं तथागते । सर्व साध्वर्थमेवेदमसाध्वर्थ न किंचन

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca vijñānabalam āsthāya jīvitavyaṃ tathāgate | sarva-sādhv-artham evedaṃ asādhv-artha na kiṃcana ||

Translation

بھیشم نے کہا— یُدھِشٹھِر! جب ایسی حالت آ پڑے تو آدمی کو تمیز و بصیرت اور سچے علم کی قوت کا سہارا لے کر زندگی قائم رکھنی چاہیے۔ اس دنیا میں جو دولت اور وسائل دکھائی دیتے ہیں وہ سب نیکوں کے لیے ہیں؛ بدکاروں کے لیے حقیقت میں کچھ بھی نہیں۔
