यम उवाच तपःशौचवता नित्यं सत्यधर्मरतेन च | मातापित्रोरहरह: पूजनं कार्यमज्जसा

Transliteration

yama uvāca tapaḥ-śaucavatā nityaṁ satya-dharma-ratena ca | mātā-pitror ahar-ahaḥ pūjanaṁ kāryam ajjasā ||

Translation

یَم نے کہا—انسان کو ہمیشہ تپسیا (ریاضت) کرنی چاہیے، ظاہر و باطن کی پاکیزگی قائم رکھنی چاہیے اور سچائی کے دھرم میں برابر لگا رہنا چاہیے۔ یہ سب کرتے ہوئے اسے بلا تاخیر روزانہ ماں باپ کی خدمت اور پوجا بجا لانی چاہیے۔
