Nakula’s Counsel on Yajña, Dāna, and Tyāga (नकुलोपदेशः—यज्ञदानत्यागविचारः)

ये चान्ये क्रतवस्तात ब्राह्मणैरभिपूजिता: । तैर्यजस्व महीपाल शक्रो देवपतिर्यथा

Transliteration

ye cānye kratavas tāta brāhmaṇair abhipūjitāḥ | tair yajasva mahīpāla śakro devapatir yathā ||

Translation

اے عزیز، اے محافظِ زمین! برہمنوں کے ذریعہ معزز اور ستودہ جو دوسرے یَجْنَ (قربانی کے) کرتو ہیں، اُنہیں بھی انجام دو۔ اُن یَجْنوں کے وسیلے سے یَجْنَ پُرُش کی عبادت کر کے تم بھی دیوتاؤں کے پتی شکر اندَر کی مانند دھرم، دان اور رعایا کی حفاظت میں ثابت قدم رہ کر سلطنت کو سنبھالو۔
