Testing and Appointment of Ministers/Servants
(तं दृष्टवा शरभं यान्तं सिंह: परभयातुर: । ऋषिं शरणमापेदे वेपमान: कृताञउ्जलि: ।।
taṃ dṛṣṭvā śarabhaṃ yāntaṃ siṃhaḥ parabhayāturaḥ | ṛṣiṃ śaraṇamāpede vepamānaḥ kṛtāñjaliḥ || tato muniḥ śarabhaṃ cakre balotkaṭam arindama | tataḥ sa śarabho vanyo muneḥ śarabham agrataḥ ||
شَرَبھ کو آتے دیکھ کر شیر—زیادہ طاقتور دشمن کے خوف سے سخت مضطرب—کانپتا ہوا ہاتھ جوڑ کر رِشی کی پناہ میں آ گیا۔ تب، اے دشمنوں کو دبانے والے، اُس مُنی نے اپنے تپوبل سے نہایت قوی شَرَبھ کی صورت اختیار کر لی۔ پھر وہ جنگلی شَرَبھ مُنی کے شَرَبھ-روپ کے سامنے آ کھڑا ہوا۔
