Jaitrya-nimitta: Signs of Prospective Victory and the Priority of Conciliation (जयलक्षण-निमित्त तथा सान्त्व-प्रधान नीति)

भीष्म उवाच जयित्र्या यानि रूपाणि भवन्ति भरतर्षभ । पृतनाया: प्रशस्तानि तानि वक्ष्यामि सर्वश:,भीष्मजीने कहा--भरतभूषण! विजय पानेवाली सेनाके समक्ष जो-जो शुभ लक्षण प्रकट होते हैं, उन सबका वर्णन करता हूँ, सुनो

bhīṣma uvāca | jayitryā yāni rūpāṇi bhavanti bharatarṣabha | pṛtanāyāḥ praśastāni tāni vakṣyāmi sarvaśaḥ ||

بھیشم نے کہا—اے بھرتوں کے سردار! فاتح لشکر کے سامنے جو جو مبارک نشانیاں ظاہر ہوتی ہیں، جو جنگ میں کامیابی کی خبر دیتی ہیں، اُن سب کی میں پوری طرح وضاحت کروں گا۔
