उपायधर्म-सेनायोगः

Upāya-dharma and Senāyoga: Expedient Ethics & Army Deployment

पारम्पर्यागते द्वारे ये केचिदनुवर्तिन: । परिचर्यावतो द्वारे ये च केचन वर्गिण:,जो परम्परासे प्राप्त हुए राजद्वारपर रक्षा आदि सेवाका कार्य करते हों अथवा जो राजसेवक मन्त्री आदिके द्वारपर पहरा देते हों तथा किसी यूथके अधिपति हों, उनको भी नहीं मारना चाहिये

pāramparyāgate dvāre ye kecid anuvartinaḥ | paricaryāvato dvāre ye ca kecana vargiṇaḥ ||

بھیشم نے کہا—جو لوگ موروثی طور پر مقررہ فرض کے مطابق شاہی دروازے پر حفاظت و خدمت میں لگے ہوں، اور جو وزیروں وغیرہ جیسے شاہی خدام کے دروازوں پر پہرہ دیتے ہوں یا کسی دستے/جتھے کے سردار ہوں—انہیں بھی قتل نہیں کرنا چاہیے۔
