Commencement of the Mace-Duel Proceedings
अन्रैव ब्राह्मणी सिद्धा कौमारब्रह्म॒चारिणी । योगयुक्ता दिवं याता तपःसिद्धा तपस्विनी
atraiva brāhmaṇī siddhā kaumāra-brahmacāriṇī | yoga-yuktā divaṃ yātā tapaḥ-siddhā tapasvinī ||
“یہیں ایک سِدّھا برہمنی رہتی تھی جو لڑکپن ہی سے برہماچریہ پر قائم تھی۔ تپسیا سے سِدھی پانے والی وہ تپسوی یوگ میں یکسو ہو کر سُورگ لوک کو چلی گئی۔”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse upholds brahmacarya, tapas, and yoga as ethical-spiritual disciplines that refine character and lead to higher states of attainment; it presents self-restraint and sustained practice as a legitimate path to spiritual perfection.
The narrator points out that in that very place there lived a spiritually accomplished Brahmin woman who had maintained celibate discipline since youth; through yogic absorption and the power of austerity she departs to heaven.
