Kurukṣetra–Samantapañcaka Māhātmya: King Kuru’s Ploughing and Indra’s Boon (प्रजापतेरुत्तरवेदिः समन्तपञ्चकं)
तस्यास्तु तपसोग्रेण महान् कालोअत्यगान्नूप । सा पित्रा दीयमानापि तत्र नैच्छदनिन्दिता
tasyāstu tapasogreṇa mahān kālo 'tyagān nūpa | sā pitrā dīyamānāpi tatra naicchad aninditā ||
اے بادشاہ! اس کی سخت ریاضت کے سبب بہت زمانہ گزر گیا۔ باپ نے نکاح کے لیے اسے پیش بھی کیا، مگر وہ بے عیب دوشیزہ اس پر راضی نہ ہوئی۔
