सातं दृष्टवोग्रतपसं वसिष्ठ॑ तपतां वरम् । आचाोरैर्मुनिभिवद्दृष्ट: पूजयामास भारत,भरतनन्दन! उसने तपस्वी मुनियोंमें श्रेष्ठ और उग्र तपस्यापरायण वसिष्ठको देखकर मुनिजनोचित आचारोंद्वारा उनका पूजन किया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sā taṁ dṛṣṭvogrātapasaṁ vasiṣṭhaṁ tapatāṁ varam | ācārair munibhir dṛṣṭaiḥ pūjayāmāsa bhārata bharatanandana ||
اے بھارت! اے بھرتوں کے فرزند! جب اُس نے سخت تپسیا والے، تپسویوں میں سب سے برتر وِسِشٹھ کو دیکھا تو رِشیوں میں رائج آداب و مراسم کے مطابق اُس کی پوجا اور خاطر تواضع کی۔
