bhṛgoḥ śāpān mahābhāga yad uktaṃ brahmavādinā | mahābhāga punaḥ te yathā āyātās tathā nivavṛtuḥ agnidevaś ca maharṣeḥ bhṛgoḥ śāpena sarvabhakṣo 'bhavat | tena brahmavādinā yathoktaṃ tathāiva abhavat || tatra api āplutya matimān brahmayoniṃ jagāma ha ||

اے مہابھاگ! برہْم وادی مُنی نے جو کہا تھا، بھِرگو کے شاپ سے بعینہٖ وہی واقع ہوا۔ وہ جیسے آئے تھے ویسے ہی لوٹ گئے، اور اگنی سَروَ بھکش بن گیا۔ اور وہاں بھی وہ دانا (اگنی) غوطہ لگا کر برہْم یونی—برہما کے سرچشمے—کی طرف چلا گیا۔
