निर्मासगात्र्य: श्वेताक्ष तथा काउ्चनसंनिभा: । कृष्णमेघनिभाश्षान्या धूम्राश्ष भरतर्षभ
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: nirmāṃsagātryaḥ śvetākṣāḥ tathā kāñcanasaṃnibhāḥ | kṛṣṇameghanibhāś cānyā dhūmrāś ca bharatarṣabha ||
وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—ان ماترکاؤں میں سے بعض کے جسم محض ہڈیوں کے ڈھانچے تھے، گوشت کا نام و نشان نہ تھا۔ بعض کی آنکھیں سفید تھیں، بعض کی تابانی سونے جیسی تھی۔ اے بھرتوں کے سردار! کچھ کالے بارانی بادلوں کی مانند سیاہ تھیں اور کچھ دھوئیں کے رنگ کی۔
