Vaiśampāyana uvāca | śṛṇu mātṛgaṇān rājan kumārānucarān imān | kīrtyamānān mayā vīra sapatnagaṇasūdanān ||
وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—اے بہادر نریش! سنو؛ میں کُمار (اسکند/کارتِکَیَہ) کی انوچری اِن ماترِکاؤں کے نام بیان کرتا ہوں۔ جنہیں میں نام لے کر سنا رہا ہوں، وہ دشمنوں کے گروہوں کو نیست و نابود کرنے والیاں ہیں۔
