यज्ञवाहः सुवाहश्च देवयाजी च सोमप: । मज्जानश्न महातेजा: क्रथक्राथौ च भारत
yajñavāhaḥ suvāhaś ca devayājī ca somapaḥ | majjānaśn mahātejāḥ krathakrāthau ca bhārata ||
ویشَمپاین نے کہا— اے بھارت! وہاں یَجْنَواہ اور سُوواہ، دیویاجی اور سومپ—وہ عظیم جلال والے جنگجو—اور مَجّان، نیز کرَتھ اور کراتھ نام کے دونوں بھائی بھی تھے۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse primarily serves a narrative function: it records names of notable warriors, underscoring the epic theme that great power and fame are still subject to the larger moral and historical currents of the war. It implicitly reminds the listener that individual prowess is woven into a collective destiny shaped by dharma and adharma.
Vaiśampāyana continues a catalogue-style description, listing additional mighty figures present/participating in the events of the Śalya Parva context, naming Yajñavāha, Suvāha, Devayājī, Somapa, Majjānaśn, and the pair Kratha and Krātha.
