अमावास्यां महातेजास्तत्रोन्मज्जन् महाद्युति: | लोकान् प्रभासयामास शीतांशुत्वमवाप च
amāvāsyāṃ mahātejās tatrōnmajjan mahādyutiḥ | lokān prabhāsayāmāsa śītāṃśutvam avāpa ca ||
اماوَسیا کی رات وہ مہاتجسوی، مہادیوتی چاند وہاں غوطہ لگا کر اشنان کرتا ہے۔ اس عمل سے اس نے ٹھنڈی کرنوں کی صفت پائی اور سبھی لوکوں کو روشن کرنے لگا۔
