Dvaipāyana-hrade Duryodhanasya Māyā — Yudhiṣṭhirasya Dharmoktiḥ (Śalya-parva, Adhyāya 30)
इमे हाायान्ति संहृष्टा: पाण्डवा जितकाशिन: । अपयास्यामहे तावदनुजानातु नो भवान्
ime hy āyānti saṁhṛṣṭāḥ pāṇḍavā jitakāśinaḥ | apayāsyāmahe tāvad anujānātu no bhavān ||
“دیکھو، فتح کی چمک سے سرشار پانڈو خوشی میں بھرے اسی طرف آ رہے ہیں۔ اس لیے ہم فی الحال یہاں سے ہٹ جائیں گے؛ آپ ہمیں روانہ ہونے کی اجازت عطا فرمائیں۔”
संजय उवाच
Even amid war, conduct is governed by protocol and restraint: Sañjaya does not act rashly but seeks formal permission to withdraw, reflecting disciplined speech and respect for authority in a tense ethical setting.
Sañjaya reports that the Pāṇḍavas are approaching in high spirits, appearing like victors. Anticipating their arrival, he proposes that his side move away and requests leave from the addressed superior to depart.
