कि कृतं सलिले शर्व चिरकालस्थितेन ते । किमर्थ चेदमुत्पाद्य लिड्ढ भूमौ प्रवेशितम्‌

ki kṛtaṃ salile śarva cirakālasthitena te | kimartha cedam utpādya liḍḍhaṃ bhūmau praveśitam ||

اے شَروَ (رودر دیو)! تم نے طویل عرصہ پانی میں ٹھہر کر کون سا کارنامہ انجام دیا؟ اور اس لِنگ کو پیدا کرکے کس غرض سے زمین پر پھینک کر اس میں داخل کر دیا؟
