एकवस्त्राथ पाज्चाली पाण्डवानभ्यवैक्षत । हतस्वान् द्वतराज्यांश्व॒ हृतवस्त्रान् हृतश्रिय:
sañjaya uvāca | ekavastrātha pāñcālī pāṇḍavān abhyavaikṣata | hatasvān dhṛtarāṣṭrāṁś ca hṛtavastrān hṛtaśriyaḥ ||
سنجے نے کہا—تب پانچالی، ایک ہی لباس میں، پاندوؤں کی طرف دیکھنے لگی۔ اس نے دھرتراشٹر کے بیٹوں کو خوشی میں مگن دیکھا، اور پاندوؤں کو—جن سے دولت، راج، لباس اور شان و شوکت سب چھین لی گئی تھی—غلامی کی حالت میں گرے ہوئے، دھرم کی زنجیروں میں بندھے، گویا اپنی بہادری دکھانے سے بھی عاجز۔
