Vidura’s Report and Portents
अतिद्यूतं कृतमिदं धार्तराष्ट्र यस्मात् स्त्रियं विवदध्वं सभायाम् । योगक्षेमौ नश्यतो वः समग्रौ पापान् मन्त्रान् कुरवो मन्त्रयन्ति
atidyūtaṁ kṛtam idaṁ dhārtarāṣṭra yasmāt striyaṁ vivadadhvaṁ sabhāyām | yogakṣemau naśyato vaḥ samagrau pāpān mantrān kuravo mantrayanti ||
ودُر نے کہا—“اے دھرتراشٹر کے بیٹو! یہ جُوا حد سے بڑھ کر اور بےقانونی و اَدھرم کا کام بن گیا ہے؛ اسی لیے تم بھری سبھا میں ایک عورت کو لا کر اس پر یوں جھگڑ رہے ہو گویا وہ ملکیت ہو۔ اس فعل سے تمہارا یوگ اور کْشیم—فلاح و امان—دونوں پوری طرح برباد ہو رہے ہیں؛ آج سب پر آشکار ہو گیا کہ کورو صرف گناہ آلود مشورے ہی کرتے ہیں۔”
