सभा-पर्यवसान-प्रस्थानवचनम् | Counsel at the Point of Departure

भीष्म उवाच उक्तवानस्मि कल्याणि धर्मस्य परमा गति: । लोके न शक्‍्यते ज्ञातुमपि विज्ञैर्महात्मभि:,भीष्मजीने कहा--कल्याणि! मैं पहले ही कह चुका हूँ कि धर्मकी गति बड़ी सूक्ष्म है। लोकमें विज्ञ महात्मा भी उसे ठीक-ठीक नहीं जान सकते

bhīṣma uvāca: uktavān asmi kalyāṇi dharmasya paramā gatiḥ | loke na śakyate jñātum api vijñair mahātmabhiḥ ||

بھیشم نے کہا—اے کلیانی! میں پہلے ہی کہہ چکا ہوں کہ دھرم کی چال نہایت باریک ہے۔ اس دنیا میں اسے ٹھیک ٹھیک جاننا ممکن نہیں؛ دانا اور عظیم النفس لوگ بھی اسے پوری طرح نہیں جان سکتے۔
