तिष्ठन्ति चेमे कुरव: सभाया- मीशा: सुतानां च तथा स्नुषाणाम् | समीक्ष्य सर्वे मम चापि वाक््यं विब्रूत मे प्रश्रमिमं यथावत्,ये कुरुवंशी महापुरुष जो सभामें बैठे हुए हैं, सभी पुत्रों और पुत्रवधुओंके स्वामी हैं (सभीके घरमें पुत्र और पुत्रवधुएँ हैं), अतः ये सब लोग मेरे कथनपर अच्छी तरह विचार करके इस प्रश्नका ठीक-ठीक विवेचन करें
tiṣṭhanti ceme kuravaḥ sabhāyām īśāḥ sutānāṃ ca tathā snuṣāṇām | samīkṣya sarve mama cāpi vākyaṃ vibrūta me praśnam imaṃ yathāvat |
بھیشم نے کہا—اس سبھا میں یہ کورو حاضر ہیں، جو اپنے بیٹوں کے بھی اور اسی طرح اپنی بہوؤں کے بھی مالک و سرپرست ہیں۔ لہٰذا تم سب میرے کلام پر خوب غور کرو اور پھر اس سوال کی درست اور ترتیب وار توضیح کے ساتھ مجھے جواب دو۔
