ते वाचयित्वा पुण्याहमूहयित्वा च तं विधिम्‌ । शास्त्रोक्तं पूजयामासुस्तद्‌ देवयजनं महत्‌

Transliteration

te vācayitvā puṇyāham ūhayitvā ca taṃ vidhim | śāstroktam pūjayāmāsus tad devayajanaṃ mahat ||

Translation

انہوں نے پُنیاہ کی تلاوت کروا کر اور اس مقررہ رسم کو اس کے مقصد کے ساتھ بطورِ سنکلپ ٹھہرا کر، شاستر کے حکم کے مطابق اُس عظیم یَجْن-بھومی کی پوجا کرائی جو دیوتاؤں کی عبادت کے لیے تھی۔
