तत्र तित्तिरिकल्माषान् मण्डूकाख्यान् हयोत्तमान् | लेभे स करमत्यन्तं गन्धर्वनगरात् तदा,वहाँ गन्धर्वनगरसे उन्होंने उस समय करके रूपमें तित्तिरे, कल्माष और मण्डूक नामवाले बहुत-से उत्तम घोड़े प्राप्त किये
tatra tittirikalmāṣān maṇḍūkākhyān hayottamān | lebhe sa karam atyantaṃ gandharvanagarāt tadā ||
وہاں گندھروؤں کے شہر سے اس نے خراج کے طور پر ‘تِتّری’، ‘کَلمَاش’ اور ‘مَندوک’ نامی بے شمار عمدہ گھوڑے کثرت سے حاصل کیے۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse primarily conveys royal acquisition and abundance: excellent resources (horses) are gathered from extraordinary sources, reflecting prosperity and readiness; it implies the importance of securing strong means for governance and statecraft.
In the course of the account, the subject (saḥ) obtains many superior horses—named Tittiri, Kalmāṣa, and Maṇḍūka—from Gandharvanagara, indicating a notable gain of valuable steeds.
