मय उवाच युक्तमेतत्‌ त्वयि विभो यथा55त्थ पुरुषर्षभ । प्रीतिपूर्वमहं किंचित्‌ कर्तुमिच्छामि भारत,मयासुर बोला--प्रभो! पुरुषोतम! आपने जो बात कही है, वह आप-जैसे महापुरुषके अनुरूप ही है; परंतु भारत! मैं बड़े प्रेमसे आपके लिये कुछ करना चाहता हूँ

Transliteration

maya uvāca yuktam etat tvayi vibho yathāttha puruṣarṣabha | prītipūrvam ahaṃ kiñcit kartum icchāmi bhārata ||

Translation

مایا نے کہا—اے پروردگار، اے مردوں میں برتر! جو بات تم نے کہی وہ تم جیسے عظیم مرد کے شایانِ شان ہے؛ پھر بھی، اے بھارت، محبت کے ساتھ میں تمہارے لیے کچھ نہ کچھ—کوئی چھوٹی سی خدمت—کرنا چاہتا ہوں۔
