Omens Observed and the Hearing of the Vṛṣṇi Destruction

असूत शापजं घोरं तच्च राज्ञे न्यवेदयन्‌ | विषण्णरूपस्तद्‌ राजा सूक्ष्मं चूर्णमकारयत्‌,जब साम्बने उस शापजनित भयंकर मूसलको पैदा किया तब यदुवंशियोंने उसे ले जाकर राजा उग्रसेनको दे दिया। उसे देखते ही राजाके मनमें विषाद छा गया। उन्होंने उस मूसलको कुटवाकर अत्यन्त महीन चूर्ण करा दिया

asūta śāpajaṃ ghoraṃ tacca rājñe nyavedayan | viṣaṇṇarūpastad rājā sūkṣmaṃ cūrṇam akārayat |

سامب نے شاپ سے پیدا ہونے والا وہ ہولناک موسل جنم دیا؛ تب یادوؤں نے اسے راجا اُگرسین کے حضور پیش کیا۔ اسے دیکھتے ہی راجا غمگین ہو گیا اور اس نے حکم دیا کہ موسل کو کوٹ کر نہایت باریک سفوف بنا دیا جائے۔
