गमनाय मतिं चक्रे भ्रातरश्षास्य ते तदा | उन धर्मात्मा नरेशने नगर और जनपदके लोगोंको समझा-बुझाकर उनकी अनुमति प्राप्त कर ली। फिर उन्होंने और उनके भाइयोंने सब कुछ त्यागकर महा-प्रस्थान करनेका ही निश्चय किया

Transliteration

gamanāya matiṁ cakre bhrātaraś cāsya te tadā |

Translation

تب ان بھائیوں نے روانگی کا ارادہ باندھا۔ دھرماتما بادشاہ نے شہر اور دیہات کے لوگوں کو سمجھا بجھا کر ان کی رضامندی حاصل کی؛ پھر اس نے اور اس کے بھائیوں نے سب کچھ ترک کر کے مہاپرستھان کے راستے کا پختہ فیصلہ کر لیا۔
