Shloka 43

जीविते चैव राज्ये च हते राधात्मजे रणे | त्वत्प्रसादाद्‌ वयं चैव कृतार्था: पुरुषर्षभ,“आज दुरात्मा धृतराष्ट्रपुत्र दुर्योधन अत्यन्त अभिमानी नरव्याप्र राधापुत्र कर्णके मारे जानेका वृत्तान्त सुनकर राज्य और जीवनसे भी निराश हो जायगा। पुरुषोत्तम! आपकी कृपासे रणभूमिमें राधापुत्र कर्णके मारे जानेपर हम सब लोग कृतार्थ हो गये पुत्रसहित कर्णको अर्जुनके बाणोंसे मारा गया देख राजा युधिष्ठिरने अपना नया जन्म हुआ-सा माना

jīvite caiva rājye ca hate rādhātmaje raṇe | tvatprasādād vayaṃ caiva kṛtārthāḥ puruṣarṣabha ||

“جب رادھا کا بیٹا کرن میدانِ جنگ میں مارا گیا، تو اب نہ ہمیں زندگی کی آرزو رہی نہ سلطنت کی۔ اے مردوں کے سردار! آپ کے فضل سے ہم سب کِرتارتھ—اپنے مقصد کو پہنچ گئے ہیں۔”
