न चापि कर्ण प्रसहेद् रणे<र्जुनो महागिरिं मेरुमिवोग्रमारुत: । नचाश्वसिष्यन्ति पृथात्मजा मयेि प्रसह वैरं बहुशो विचिन्त्य
sañjaya uvāca |
na cāpi karṇa prasahed raṇe ’rjuno mahāgiriṁ merum ivogramārutaḥ |
na cāśvasiṣyanti pṛthātmajā mayi prasahya vairaṁ bahuśo vicintya ||
سنجے نے کہا—میدانِ جنگ میں ارجن کرن کے زور کو برداشت نہ کر سکے گا، جیسے تند آندھی عظیم پہاڑ مِیرو کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتی۔ اور میں نے ہٹ دھرمی سے بار بار جو دشمنی ان پر تھوپی ہے، اسے سوچ کر پرتھا کے بیٹے مجھ پر اعتماد بھی نہیں کریں گے۔
