शोणितोदां महीं कृत्वा मांसमज्जास्थिपड्किलाम्‌ | मनुष्यशीर्षपाषाणां हस्त्यश्वकृतरोधसम्‌

śoṇitodāṃ mahīṃ kṛtvā māṃsamajjāsthipaḍkilām | manuṣyaśīrṣapāṣāṇāṃ hasty-aśva-kṛta-rodhasam

سنجے نے کہا—میدانِ جنگ خون سے بھر کر گویا خون آلود پانی کی سرزمین بن گیا تھا؛ وہ گوشت، گودے اور ہڈیوں کی کیچڑ سے لتھڑا ہوا تھا۔ انسانوں کے سر پتھروں کے ڈھیروں کی مانند پڑے تھے، اور ہاتھیوں اور گھوڑوں کے لاشے اس کے بہاؤ میں بند اور رکاوٹیں بن گئے تھے۔
