Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the harsh reality of kṣatriya-dharma in war: skill and determination, when yoked to battle, become forces that bring death. It implicitly warns that martial glory is inseparable from grave moral weight and the inevitability of mortality.

Sañjaya describes Bhīma’s battlefield onslaught: he demonstrates extraordinary speed and strength, cutting through the Kaurava forces with fierce, sharp arrows, as if dispatching them to Yama’s abode.
