हीना सूर्येन्दुनक्षत्रैद्यौरिवा भाति भारती । “इसके प्रधान-प्रधान योद्धा नष्ट हो गये। घोड़े, रथ और हाथी भी मार डाले गये। अब यह कौरवसेना सूर्य, चन्द्रमा और नक्षत्रोंस रहित आकाशके समान श्रीहीन जान पड़ती है

سنجے نے کہا—جس طرح سورج، چاند اور ستاروں سے محروم آسمان بے رونق ہو جاتا ہے، اسی طرح اب کوروؤں کی فوج؛ اس کے سرکردہ جنگجو مٹ چکے، گھوڑے، رتھ اور ہاتھی بھی مارے گئے—اس لیے وہ وقار اور تابناکی سے خالی دکھائی دیتی ہے۔
